Throughout the pandemic, the level of charitable work from the lettings industry was phenomenal. This year’s Agents Giving Charity Ball acknowledged some exceptional teams and individuals who have raised money for some fantastic charities.
Christmas, however, is a time of year where many are hit hardest; when most are getting excited to exchange gifts, eat plenty of chocolates and rip open Christmas crackers, some families aren’t afforded these luxuries.
This winter, Agents Giving are running an appeal to continue the support of Trussell Trusts and other local food banks with their Christmas Stocking Campaign.
Whether you want to donate a stocking as a team or challenge the whole office to donate one of their own, every single stocking donated will make a world of difference to one family’s Christmas.
Here’s how agents can help spread some extra Christmas joy and ensure as many families as possible have access to the things lots of us take for granted over the holiday seasons.
Grab a Christmas stocking of any size
You can purchase stockings at a range of different shops – from Poundland to your local supermarket. Just decide what kind of size you would like to purchase and find one wherever is most convenient for you – easy!
Fill your stocking with Christmas goodies
Anything that you think will bring Christmas joy is appropriate to go into your stocking; food banks are recommending the following items, which is a great place to start:
- Boxes of chocolates
- Tubes of sweets
- Hanging chocolates for the tree
- Christmas crackers
- Chocolate coins
- Christmas cakes
- Christmas biscuits
- Christmas puddings
Drop off your filled stockings at your local food bank
Once you’ve filled your stocking with treats and gifts, you’re ready to drop it off at your local food bank.
